On March 26, AGENDA partner CDPO held its first roundtable talk show titled “Understanding Challenges and Opportunities of Accessing Health Care Services for Persons with Disabilities in Cambodia.” Deputy Director of the Hospital Department of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Dr. Kim Savuon and Executive Director of Angkor Chey Disabled People’s Federation Organization, Mr. Ing Han discussed providing inclusive health care for persons with disabilities. Government officials acknowledged the challenges faced by persons with disabilities in accessing health care and displayed a commitment to increase the awareness of free-of-charge public health services that can be provided for persons with disabilities. DPOs expect to be more involved in government initiatives on accessible health care in Cambodia. The discussion was aired live on the Voice of Persons with Disabilities’ (VPD) TV online and Facebook page.
