Public Awareness Campaign on the Enabling Masterplan in Malaysia

On December 8, ADF partner Malaysian Confederation of the Disabled (MCD) organized a virtual public awareness campaign on the Enabling Masterplan in Malaysia. Keynote speeches on the Enabling Masterplan were given by Dr. Maziah Che Yusoff Secretary General of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, represented by Mr. Zuhaimi, Director of the Development of Persons with Disabilities The themes of the virtual campaign included “enabling education towards employment amongst persons with disabilities in the new norm” and “enabling wellbeing persons with disabilities in new norm.” The event featured two singing performances where sign language was provided to describe the lyrics, a feature that gained a lot of positive feedback from persons with disabilities present. The total of 95 people participated in the virtual campaign event.
