On April 29, CDPO held its third roundtable talk show titled “The Impact of Accessible and Inclusive Health Care Systems and Services for Persons with Disabilities and Their Families.” Speakers included Mr. Pen Mony, Advisor for Vulnerable Groups at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and Ms. Moch Malis, Executive Director of Svay Rieng Province. Mr. Pen Mony shared GIZ projects working with the health center management committee and local disabled people’s organizations (DPOs) to promote and prevent COVID-19 infections. GIZ also works to provide funding to build ramps ensure health centers are more accessible. Ms. Moch Malis stressed the need for DPOs to assist persons with disabilities in obtaining an IDPoor, an identification card for poor households issued by the Ministry of Planning to receive free health care services. The discussion was aired live on the Voice of Persons with Disabilities (VPD) TV online and Facebook page.
